This framework contract had implemented to achieve simple arboreal diagnostics or in-depth, from the ground or high on trees and palms selected by the contracting authority (Department of Var) in order to ensure the safety of the public with regard to the risks associated with these trees. Benefits were concerned trees located on the properties of the Var Department: (1) trees from alignments of roads, (2) trees taken in natural shape, (3) Palm trees, and (4) of heritage trees that can be located in protected natural areas open to the public. Complementary expertise’s for detecting trees sheltering of bats into cavities have been implemented.
Oréade-Brèche made available to the departmental Council a team of 2 diagnostics sanitary and safe tree specialists to carry out these expertise’s. A chiropterologue also took part for the diagnosis of presence of bats in the cavities of trees that have been analyzed either by direct observation with an endoscope.
